Introduction

Komaba Warakuan is a small teahouse located near the Nippon Mingeikan in Komaba, Meguro, Tokyo.

We welcome everyone with the Kobori Enshu style of tea ceremony. We have prepared many of Enshu’s favorite utensils. The Kobori Enshu style is a samurai tea ceremony called “Kirei-Sabi,” which is different from Wabicha (wabi tea).

After the end of the Warring States period and the establishment of the shogunate, there was a growing demand for tea ceremonies to entertain feudal lords. It is no exaggeration to say that tea has been created for the purpose of hospitality. We hope you will enjoy our tea as a guest and enjoy its delicious taste.

Plans

#1 Usucha/Thin Tea

The tea master will serve a bowl of Usucha(‘thin tea’) and Japanese sweet.

Duration: 30-90mins.

#2 Koicha/Thick Tea

The tea master will serve a bowl of Koicha(‘thick tea’) and Japanese sweet. Serving Koicha is one of most important part of Sado(Way of tea).

Duration:45-120mins

for 2 or More	8000JPY+Tax /each
for 1 Person	Price on request

#3 Usucha and Koicha/Both

Most popular plan in our several plans. You are able to try both Usucha and Koicha.

Duration:90-150mins.

Reservation

How to reserve

Please send your request with this contact form. Especially ,Please let us know the number of participants and schedules.
We send the estimate to your e-mail address.
We send the bank account or the bill for credit card(square)
the payment should be done 3days before your arrival.

Cancellation

A cancellation fee will be charged if cancellation takes place on the day of use. In case of cancellation,We will refund you. But Charges from Credit card’s company and Bank will be charged.
